Published Dec 12, 2008Out of nowhere, Arcade Fire have dropped word they're releasing a new film titled Miroir Noir this Monday (December 15).
The 70-minute flick will be available to download through the newly erected Miroir-noir.com website and you'll also be able to place pre-orders for a standard or deluxe DVD edition, which is due out sometime next year.
In the words of the press release, the movie "follows Arcade Fire through the making and touring of their 2007 album Neon Bible documenting the band at their Montreal studio, the making of promotional films and videos, along with live footage and a few short films made on the road."
The deluxe DVD edition of Miroir Noir, which is co-directed by the band and Vincent Morisset (who did that interactive video for "Neon Bible"), will feature bonus material such as Arcade Fire TV performances on Saturday Night Live, Jonathan Ross and at the Maida Vale BBC studio.
If Monday seems like too long a wait to get a taste of Miroir Noir, right now there is a little promotional teaser streaming on the movie's website.
