Published Jun 26, 2009Montreal's Arcade Fire have recently revealed that they are already writing new material for their follow-up album to Neon Bible, and they're ready to start on performing live again.
In an interview with NME, lead vocalist Win Butler explained the band's situation.
"None of us want to take three years making a record," Butler said. "It could be that we'll play live [soon] and maybe we'll end up bashing it [another album] out fast. We're in the middle of writing, things are coming together, it's a great feeling."
Butler then went on to explain how he's ready for some stage time. "If you had asked me [about playing live] six months ago I'd be like 'No, I'm good'," he said. "But now I go to a gig and I get the little... I can imagine being on that stage. It's the step before you actually go and do it."
While there's not much info to go on at the moment, this nugget should be enough to get all the band's fans out there tweeting their excitement.
