Published May 25, 2010Montreal's Arcade Fire are gearing up for a big 2010, with a new album scheduled to drop later this year and a twelve-inch single due out sometime before that. And while details about the LP are still scarce, the band's summer tour schedule is beginning to look very busy indeed.
We've already reported that the group will be appearing at the Ottawa Bluesfest on July 13 and at Montreal's Oshega Music and Arts Festival on July 31. Now, we can add two more Canadian dates to their itinerary: the Festival d'été de Québec on July 12 and a performance at the Toronto Island Centre on August 14.
Unless Arcade Fire are planning a Radiohead-style whirlwind release for their new album, the performance at the Festival d'été de Québec will likely be the first time North American audiences get a chance to hear the band's latest material. For a brief preview of what's in store, be sure to listen to the 30-second samples from their upcoming twelve-inch.
