A week ahead of releasing her fifth studio album KiCk i, Arca has shared another cut from the forthcoming effort. Today, she has unleashed "Mequetrefe," the record's third single.

The track comes as a proclamation of identity — the word Mequetrefe translating roughly to a pejorative meaning "lazy."

Arca explains: "The song 'Mequetrefe' invokes the tenderness behind expressing who you are without shame, and the confidence and bravery it requires, because expression of gender-nonconforming self-states in a public space can often result in static within your environment."

Her latest follows the release of album cuts "Time" and "Nonbinary," as well as the artist's 62-minute single "@@@@@," which she shared back in February.

KiCk i arrives on June 26 digitally and physically on July 17 via XL Recordings. Featuring longtime collaborator Björk, as well as Rosalía, SOPHIE and Shygirl, the forthcoming record will blend reggaeton, pop and experimental music, and will serve as a celebration of her mixed selfhood, of her Venezuelan heritage and trans-Latinx identity.
