Published May 26, 2016Ottawa's Arboretum Festival is set to return to the nation's capital this summer for its fifth instalment, running from August 17 to 20 and offering a range of daytime events in the city's downtown, as well as nightly club shows. Before the fun kicks off, though, organizers have just added another and final round of performers.
Newly added artists include electronic dreamweaver Tim Hecker, as well as Dan Boeckner's Wolf Parade offshoot Operator and hometown favourites Evening Hymns.
The new additions join previously announced artists like METZ, Junglepussy, Mykki Blanco, Sloan (performing One Chord to Another), Dilly Dally, Nap Eyes, Doomsquad, Partner, Hooded Fang, Arcade Fire's Jeremy Gara, Above Top Secret, Shotgun Jimmie, Lido Pimienta and Kina Miniwag.
There will also be a series of Canadian label showcases from the likes of Hand Drawn Dracula, Buzz Records, 88 Days of Fortune and You've Changed Records, and an opening keynote conversation with Andrea Warner, author of We Oughta Know: How Four Women Ruled the '90s and Changed Canadian Music.
Weekend passes are going for $40, while single day tickets will run you $25 and the costs for individual shows will vary. Full schedules and ticketing options can be found at Arboretum's official website.
