Nick Holt and Rob Coldstream are set to direct, with Coldstream also serving as an executive producer.
Although far from the first media interpretation of Lennon's murder — The Last 24 Hours: John Lennon and Imagine: John Lennon are both available on Apple TV+ as well — their series is being dubbed as the most thorough examination of the events leading up to of the crime the aftermath due not only to its extensive interviews of those close to Lennon, but also those close to his fan-turned-murderer Chapman.
The announcement arrives the same day as the Beatles' surviving members announced their final song featuring Lennon's vocals, and just days after the release of George Harrison's biography.
