ApolloFourForty Getting High on Your Own Supply

With the breakout success of Fatboy Slim and the Chemical Brothers, the timing couldn't be better for the release of Liverpool-based two drummer, electronica, hip-hop, dance rock collective ApolloFourForty's third album. Although they're bound to be tagged as pretenders or wannabes, these guys have been fusing styles like this for the better part of the last decade with virtually no payoff. Basically they were just ahead of their time. But Getting High on Your Own Supply should secure them their rightful place in the new rock pantheon. Tracks like "Stop the Rock," "Stadium Parking Lot" and "Cold Roc the Mic" will grant them access to all the cool alterna dance clubs, while a track like "For Forty Days" demonstrates their ability to tackle drum & bass alongside the likes of Roni Size or Goldie. A multi-faceted disc whose time has finally come. (Epic)
