Apollo Ghosts Release Short Story Book Alongside New EP

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 4, 2011

Last year, Vancouver's Apollo Ghosts burst out of the underground to score a Polaris Music Prize nomination for their outstanding LP Mount Benson. Now, the fun-loving jangle punk trio have announced plans to release a new EP called For What They Do, They Do on May 30.

But this is no ordinary EP. It's being released alongside a 40-page book by frontman Adrian Teacher, with four stories that correspond to the four songs. A download code for the music will come on an enclosed bookmark, which was designed by the songwriter's elementary school class (yes, Adrian Teacher is an actual teacher).

There will only be 100 copies made, and you can pre-order yours right here. These will ship on May 30.

For those who want the songs without the book, the songs will be available on Bandcamp. The tracklist is below and a cropped version of the book cover is above.

For What They Do, They Do:

1. "Day of Glory "
2. "For What They Do, They Do"
3. "A Spot to Remember (We Have Finally Found Our Place in the Sun)"
4. "Small Talk"
