This spring, some very resourceful fans launched a Kickstarter to buy Aphex Twin's unreleased self-titled album under the pseudonym Caustic Window. The money was successfully raised, and the album has now made its way onto the web.
The 15 tracks can be streamed via the playlist below. For the most part, the songs are urgently rhythmic, with busy (yet minimal) beats overlaid with whirrs, blips, bloops, and oddball synth tones. There are moments that tap into Aphex Twin's knack for pretty ambience, but those tracks are outweighed by the frantic ones.
