Antiseen

Noise For The Sake Of Noise

BY Rob FerrazPublished Jul 1, 2003

Antiseen saw the ’80s out with this gem of destructo-rock. This originally came out in 1989 on Dog Meat Records out of Australia and, like most of the Antiseen catalogue, quickly disappeared. The original record contained 16 songs, four of which were live, of Antiseen's punishing fuzzed-out hate rock. The vocals of Jeff Clayton will chew your ears up like a wood chipper. Their fondness for cover versions isn't left behind, with their take on tunes like Bob Dylan's "Positively 4th Street,” the Ramones' "I Don't Care,” and GG Allin's "Cock on the Loose." This contains bonus demo tracks as well as extensive liner notes covering the band and this record.
