Antiseen

The Boys From Brutalsville

BY Rob FerrazPublished Nov 1, 2001

In an aptly titled record, these Southern redneck rockers are back to stomp anything and anyone in their way with a collection of greasy, sawdust-coated anthems. If you're not familiar with Antiseen, they were waving the confederate flag and playing the Motörhead meets Lynyrd Skynyrd style of music before it became the new trend. And this release is exactly what you'd expect from them: 13 songs with some pretty un-P.C. lyrics that are surprisingly catchy. Also, they cover the Ramones' "Commando" and "Smoke and Fire" by Screaming Lord Sutch. This isn't for the faint of heart or easily offended folks out there.
