Published Aug 12, 2011While there's still no word on when Anti-Flag will deliver their follow-up to 2009's The People or the Gun, the Pittsburgh-based political pop punks are about to drop a new live set to tide over fans in the meantime.
The outfit are set to issue the third instalment of The Complete Control Sessions, a series of live recordings put together by SideOneDummy owner and Complete Radio Control host Joe Sib. The EP features four songs recorded live off the floor at Hollywood's Swing House Studios last December.
While the band knocked out a few originals, the set also contains a cover of the Clash's "Should I Stay Or Should I Go." Sib was there to capture the magic and interviewed the band for his radio program, which is syndicated in the U.S.
On top of the live tracks, Anti-Flag have tossed in a studio version of "Should I Stay Or Should I Go," as well as two other Clash classics ("White Riot" and a medley version of "Guns of Brixton/I Fought the Law").
The Complete Control Sessions Volume 3 comes out on vinyl and digitally on September 27 via SideOneDummy. You can pre-order the vinyl here.
The group will also be playing a handful of U.S. gigs supporting NOFX. The dates are below.
