ANOHNI releases HOPELESSNESS companion EP PARADISE later this week, but the artist is already offering fans a little something extra.
In a Facebook post, the singer explained that she will send a bonus track titled "I Never Stopped Loving You" — an eighth song not included on PARADISE — to fans willing to trade a "gesture of anonymous vulnerability."
"If you have listened to my music over the years, you know that I have publicly given something of my heart," ANOHNI explains. "If you would like the final song from PARADISE, email me at anohni@rebismusic.com and share with me in a sentence or two what you care most about, or your hopes for the future. Send this to me instead of the dollar you used to send me in the olden days. The price for this song is a gesture of anonymous vulnerability. That may be too expensive for some of you, and that's okay."
She goes on to warn fans to keep the focus of their messages on themselves and not their interpretations of ANOHNI's music or how her past work has impacted them, explicitly stating: "If you mention me or my work I will not send the track."
