Last spring, Animal Collective member Avey Tare announced that he had joined forces with former Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian and Ponytail drummer Jeremy Hyman for a new band called Slasher Flicks. Now, the trio has announced their debut album.

The record is called Enter the Slasher House, and a press release suggests that "their sound is monstrous and there are nightmarish moments peppering the lyrics and melodies," also referring to the band as a "jazz power trio."

Enter the Slasher House will be available on April 8 via Domino. The album's art is available above, with its lead single "Little Fang" available to stream below.

In addition, Slasher Flicks have announced a North American tour that includes one Canadian date, with the band performing at Lee's Palace in Toronto on April 19.
