BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 27, 2012

We're about six weeks off from the release of forward-thinking popsmiths Animal Collective's next album, Centipede Hz, but in case that wait is too long, the band have something lined up in the immediate future. The group have just announced a weekly radio program called, what else, Animal Collective Radio.

The debut transmission will run from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. EST this Sunday (July 29) on radio.myanimalhome.net, with weekly installments running through till August 19.

The first episode is being curated by band member Panda Bear, who will also contribute a special mix to the program. According to a trailer, which you can see below, the show will also feature guest DJ spots from Black Dice, Haunted Graffiti, and the Sublime Frequencies label.

While it's too soon to tell, we're hoping the broadcasts gives us more than a few sneak previews from Centipede Hz. As previously reported, the LP officially hits North American retailers September 4 via Domino. They also have a North American tour coming up, and you can see the dates here.
