Coming off releasing their Painters EP at the top of this year, Animal Collective are sticking with the shorter release format by releasing a new live effort.

Titled Meeting of the Water, the band's new live EP will be available as part of Record Store Day 2017. Of course, the celebration of vinyl and manufactured rarity will be held on April 22.

Taking to Instagram, the band revealed that the EP was recorded last year by Geologist and Avey Tare in a Brazilian rainforest. The EP will also be accompanied by an episode of Viceland program Earth Works, which you can see a trailer for below.

Meeting of the Water appeared on a rumoured list of Record Store Day 2017 releases, which you can comb through here. While concrete details have yet to emerge on the release, the EP is said to be a 10-inch vinyl limited to 1,200 units.
