Angry Agency The End Of An Era

Busting out the skacore with a vengeance, this London, Ontario-based septet shy away from traditionally silly ska lyrics, instead focusing their energy on the world of politics. Tackling such issues as racism, environmental destruction and poverty, the band are able to deal with their anger in a way that is positive and meaningful. Though not overly poetic, the band still deal with these subjects in a manor that seems appropriate and never sounds forced. On the musical side of things, the horn section helps up the energy of such tracks as "North American Greed,” where a simple punk rock song suddenly becomes an energetic band-room adventure. With more than a few unlicensed samples sprinkled throughout, The End Of An Era makes for an interesting listen from start to finish. (Core-upt)
