After releasing her orchestral opus All Mirrors in October 2019, Angel Olsen has confirmed that the record will see a second part follow-up roughly a year after the first instalment's release.
Speaking with Binaural, the artist confirmed that the second part "will probably come out in autumn."
In contrast with its predecessor, part two will reportedly take on a more "intimate and acoustic tone."
The artist has also revealed plans to take the new record on the road just as she did with part one.
"I hope to do another solo tour because it gives me the opportunity to compose and reflect on some things," Olsen told the publication. "The same songs of All Mirrors will obviously be presented on the LP. I like to see it and understand it as the polarized version of what you have already heard."
Previously, Olsen had described part one of All Mirrors as "about owning up to your darkest side, finding the capacity for new love, and trusting change even when you feel like a stranger."
How these themes will or won't play a role in the upcoming second part remains unclear.
No matter the shape it takes, here's hoping Olsen will take part two as her opportunity to finally record with Danny Brown.
All Mirrors was released in October via Jagjaguwar and was recorded with producer John Congleton, arranger Jherek Bischoff and a 14-piece orchestra. The record was included in Exclaim!'s 20 Best Pop and Rock Albums of 2019.
