Andy Shauf Announces Canadian Fall Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 22, 2016

While Andy Shauf just took off on tour supporting roots trio case/lang/veirs, the critically adored Saskatchewan singer-songwriter has revealed that his own headlining tour of Canada will close out an already epic 2016.

Shauf announced his marquee-topping tour schedule today (June 22), confirming two separate legs of dates running between October and December. The first stretch of dates take Shauf and his backup band from the Prairies through to the West Coast, with the opening slot being handled by Scattered Clouds. About a month later, a series of dates around Ontario and Quebec will have Shauf sharing stages with Chris Cohen.

As previously reported, Shauf is currently promoting his album, The Party, as the opening act of case/lang/veirs' first tour. That trek hits Victoria and Vancouver next week. Later in the summer, he'll be performing Canadian shows at the Winnipeg Folk Festival and Guelph's Hillside Festival.

You'll find details on all of Shauf's 2016 dates down below, where you'll also find the cut-and-paste zaniness of his "The Worst in You" video.

Shauf was recently nominated for both the Polaris Music Prize and the SOCAN Songwriting Prize.
