Andrew W.K. Shares "Music Is Worth Living For" Video, Extends North American Tour

New Canadian dates include Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg

Party rocker Andrew W.K. recently returned with his new album You're Not Alone, and now he's treated its track "Music Is Worth Living For" to a new music video. What's more, he's also extended his North American tour schedule, adding a series of new shows in the U.S. and Canada.

The video was edited and directed by Tim Dennesen, and W.K. shared the following statement about its concept:

"Music Is Worth Living For" finds me and my band in the throes of a colossal vision quest. Determined to party harder than ever, we steel ourselves against alien elements, and battle a formless but formidable storm. Multiplying myself, I attempt to transcend the whirling void by engaging in a series of flailing spiritual maneuvers, vainly wrestling with the emptiness of my own soul. Alas, I discover I had already been consumed by my own triumphantly pathetic creation. And at this moment of devastatingly poignant clarity, I realize I'm back where I started, trapped inside the hardest party of all: Being alive.

As for the tour dates, W.K. has announced the second leg of his North American tour, with the new dates starting on August 18 and running to the end of September. In that time, he will play Canadian shows in Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.
