Published Mar 20, 2015Twenty-two-year-old Toronto-based producer and performer Andrew Oliver is set to unveil his new EP Lazy Bones today (March 20), and Exclaim! has got you covered with a full stream.
The six-track offering was inspired by Oliver's recent trip to Venice Beach, CA, which led to him piecing together a collection of songs chockfull of "summertime vibes and simple melodies."
From the playful surf-synth vibes of opener "Headlights" through the poppy twang of lead single "Bells" and on to the fuzzed-out guitars and falsetto vocals of closer "Hunt," Oliver shows off an array of influences. He manages to bring together the melody and guitar-based backbones of his indie rock beginnings with his more recent and experimental electronic tinkering.
The result is short, sweet and sunny EP, and you can hear it for yourself by streaming Lazy Bones in the player below.
