Andrew Bird Announces New Album, North American Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 6, 2011

After 2009's well-received Noble Beast, one-man impresario Andrew Bird has kept busy on the road, a fact that was documented well on his live album and tour documentary. Now, he's finally announced plans for a follow-up studio album.

The new record is called Break It Yourself, and Bird produced it himself in a Western Illinois barn. The record will be available on March 6 via Mom + Pop.

Of course, even a new album won't stop Bird from hitting the road hard. Dude has announced a massive batch of world tour dates, including a single Canadian stop at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre on April 10. If you buy tickets for that show, you'll receive a digital copy of his LP alongside two live EPs.

A teaser video for Break It Yourself is available below.
