Explosions in the Sky

For the past 15 years, Explosions in the Sky have used their winning formula of montage-worthy crescendos and uplifting guitar work to garner a deserved reputation as one of the biggest names in post-rock. If you're in Vancouver, check them out at one of the dates below.

Leading the pack are Toronto noisemakers METZ, indie rock standard-bearers Half Moon Run and breakout Montreal R&B sensation Charlotte Cardin. If you're looking for one last festival before the cold sets in, this might be your best bet.

Gallant

Over the past year, Gallant has done seemingly everything, from releasing one of the more promising debuts of the year in Ology to slaying "Hotline Bling" alongside Sufjan Stevens, of all people. See the R&B newcomer write his next chapter in Montreal this week.

Anderson .Paak

Anderson .Paak injected the rap game with a much-needed burst of California sunshine earlier this year with Malibu. Since then, he's brought that infectious energy across the continent with his band the Free Nationals, and this week, he's stopping off in Vancouver. It may be getting colder every week, but for .Paak, it's an endless summer.
