Amon Tobin has announced plans for a new record titled How Do You Live, which is due to arrive on September 24 via Nomark Records.
Likening the album to previous releases that the artist has dubbed "musical anomalies," the new record has been described in the following in a statement:
[Amon Tobin's records have] been this way since the beginning and despite our best efforts most attempts to describe them fall into reductive language. We feel this is the way things should be. The burden of describing something after all falls on those concerned with talking. The rest of us are free of such constraints and can surrender to the more direct experience of listening.
The 10-track record will follow the release of 2020's The World As We Know It, which was released under Tobin's Figueroa moniker. His last album as Amon Tobin was 2019's Long Stories.
Today, he has shared "Rise to Ashes," which he describes as a "masterful song of hope, yoked to the burden of reality." Listen to it below, where you can also find the album's full tracklisting.
