ALX is the new synth-heavy electro project of Toronto pop eccentric Allie Hughes, and you can watch the brand new video for "I Will Love You More" now.
The clip was directed by Jeff Scheven, who has worked with names like Diamond Rings and DFA1979, and the results are pretty eerie. According to a press release, the dark visuals are depicting Hughes's "creepy quest for fulfillment," which includes getting it on with a mannequin-esque replica of her unrequited lover before dragging him down to the water and setting him on fire.
The tune itself is a glammed-up, dancefloor-friendly mix of driving synths and Hughes's poppy vocals. You can grab a free download of the track here and watch the video for "I Will Love You More" below.
ALX will be making their live debut at their video release party on March 15 at Toronto's Drake Underground, along with RatTail.
