Published Sep 19, 2014Toronto indie-pop favourites Alvvays have had a big year with the release of their excellent self-titled debut LP, and now the band have released some visuals for latest single "Next of Kin."
The video might bring you back to art class, with cut-and-paste collages, crumpled paper and bright watercolours flying across the screen as frontwoman Molly Rankin delivers the lyrics and some minimalistic dance moves into the camera.
It's a crafty number from director Connor Gilhooly, and definitely nicer to look at than anything this writer ever made in school. Read a recent interview with Alvvays over here, then watch the video for "Next of Kin" in the player below.
Alvvays also have a pile of North American tour dates, including several in Canada, and you can check all those out over here.
