Two weeks ahead of the release of AlunaGeorge's sophomore collection, I Remember, the UK pop group have unveiled its silkiest preview yet. Taking the band towards quiet storm soul is their "Mediator."
While recent teases like "Mean What I Mean" have been thumped-up pieces of playful pop, "Mediator" is a slow burn. Above rhodes organs, steam kettle electronics, and a smooth slap of the snare, Aluna Francis places herself in the middle of a sticky situation, attempting to solve the problems between her friend and a lover. It's not as easy as it sounds, though ("taking sides is a foolish game").
