Edmonton-based Americana enthusiasts Altameda are getting ready to release their debut LP Dirty Rain later this summer. They shared the title track earlier this year, and now the Western Canadian ensemble have revealed a brand new video for another album cut.
"Borrowed Suit, Secondhand Dress" has been treated to some accompanying visuals from director Dylan Howard, which find the tastefully twangy band performing the tune amidst a splash of psychedelic projections. The group members' darkened silhouettes are pitted against the swirling, kaleidoscopic designs, making for a series of striking, colourful shots.
"For this video project we wanted to do something simple that suited the mood of the song," the band tell Exclaim! "It is a relatively upbeat tune compared to the rest of the record, so pairing that with brightly coloured projections seemed to be a fitting aesthetic."
Dirty Rain is expected out in July, and you can catch the band live at their upcoming shows listed below. Before you see them on stage, though, check them out in the clip for "Borrowed Suit, Secondhand Dress."
