The Almighty Rhombus "Down South" (video)

The Almighty Rhombus 'Down South' (video)
The Almighty Rhombus' newest video might be called "Down South," but the clip was actually filmed right in the band's hometown of Sudbury, ON.

The song is a punchy power-pop tune from last year's Lucid Living, and the music provides a peppy backdrop for a light-hearted tale about a big purple monster competing in a track and field event dubbed the Monster Olympics. In it, the monsters square off in events like kitten-tossing and child-chasing, with our star going head-to-head with his ghoulish-looking rival. The band make a brief cameo to get splattered by blood in a scene that adds a hint of gore to the otherwise goofy clip.

The clip was directed by Shawn Kosmerly. Scroll past the band's tour schedule to watch it below.
