Who are you?
Allan Sylvester Lorde… Lover of Womankind (the full-figured ones mainly), Rock ‘n' Roll, writing (graffiti, you pedestrians) and meat (sure it's murder, but it tastes good).

What are you up to?
Writing this thingee and kickin' it back after a horrible first term at Red River College.

Hometown and current HQ:
Winnipeg, MB!

Current fixations:
Full-figured women (24-7), Art Chantry, The Drags, and my girlfriend (24-7… She's an angel!).

Mind altering work of art: The collective works of Peter Paul Rubens, Art Chantry, Ed Fotheringham, Coop, Giant, and Frank Cho. Unfreakingbelievable!

Most memorable/inspirational gig? And why?
Inspirational: Danko Jones, 1998. It's what church SHOULD be like!)
Memorable: Man or Astroman?, 1999. Great use of fire and Logan's Run footage… Awesome!

What should everyone shut up about?
Top-40 cookie cutter bullshit.

Your greatest strength/weakness:
Strength: Patience.

Weakness: Large asses… Procrastination (too much personal patience).

Your vital daily ritual:
Rock ‘n' Roll… Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Sonics, the Von Zippers, the Stooges… All the good stuff.

Guilty pleasure:
I know all the lyrics to Harry Connick Jr.'s "We Are in Love" album. Wannamakesomethinofit? Huh!?

If I wasn't playing music I would be:
Learn how to play the harmonica… Anything I play is pre-recorded.

Your most memorable day job:
Delivery guy for Broadway Pharmacy. Very disturbing clientele.

Best/worst advice received:
Best: Mom taught me to treat women with respect.
Worst: Can't think of anything… Any mistakes made are usually my own.

I would drop everything to play a benefit for:
Dimensions magazine.

What makes you want to take it off and get it on?
My wonderful lady, Jeff Buckley's "Grace", "Dirty Little Bird" by the Drags.

What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band and/or bed? And have you?
Being straight-up evil. Not yet.

When I think of Canada I think…
Character-building weather, wonderful women, and incredibly creative people. Wouldn't live elsewhere.

Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why?
Subtle differences… Music causes physical action (kickin' back, dancing…) and sex IS physical (although the brain is sexy). The best music involves and provokes emotion. Ditto for good sex.

Strangest brush with celebrity:
Being an extra in a Sarah Polley flick. We exchanged "hello nods". I'm almost sure of that one.

What does your mom wish you were doing instead?
Mom's okay with what I'm doing. I'm sure she wishes I didn't flunk my main subjects in Advertising Art, but she hasn't disowned me… Yet.
