All Signs Point to Fucked Up Playing Secret Toronto Show Tonight with the Horrors

As we recently told you, Fucked Up promised that they'd be playing a secret show somewhere in Toronto this week. While they didn't specify when it would be happening, we believe we've figured it out - they're opening for the Horrors at Lee's Palace tonight.

The first clue was revealed on the band's blog. In a post on Monday (October 12), they put down the majority of Toronto's show listings for the week. Today, they updated the post with the news that the show was taking place tonight (October 14).

Guitarist Ben Cook (aka Young Governor) posted a red herring on his blog, saying that they'd be opening for Happy Mondays and Psychedelic Furs at the Kool Haus. It's certainly believable, considering the band's unabashed love for vintage indie pop, but it seems highly doubtful that they'd be on that bill.

Thankfully, the Lee's Palace events page has essentially confirmed that the band will be opening for the Horrors. In the listing for that event, their opener is billed as "Polaris Pricks." Come on, who else would that be?

Another confirmation that it's taking place is the fact that drummer Jonah Falco posted a Horrors music video to his Facebook page earlier this morning.

Well played, Fucked Up. If you haven't bought tickets in advance, the show will be $20 at the door.
