Alexisonfire called it quits a year ago, but band member Dallas Green (also of City & Colour fame) has promised that the beloved post-hardcore band plan to say farewell with a final tour. Now, the group have launched a mysterious countdown on their website.
If you got to Alexisonfire's site, you'll see a clock counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds. As of press time, it's at a little less than six days, meaning that it will run out on Thursday (August 9).
What exactly happens when it reaches zero is unclear. Given the promises that Green has made, however, it seems most likely that the band will be announcing that farewell tour.
He previously speculated, "It'll probably be a bunch of shows, probably be a bunch of nights at a smaller place. Maybe we'll play every record or maybe we'll do different set lists and stuff. It'll be more of a happy-go-lucky vibe than 'Hey, look at how big we were.' You know what I mean? It would be more about celebrating what we had and what we did and what we accomplished."
