Alexisonfire and City and Colour Prep Unreleased Material for New EPs

Alexisonfire are about to head out on their 10th anniversary/farewell tour, and have now revealed they'll be giving fans another gift before they call it a day: a new EP. The six-tune swan song is mournfully titled Death Letter, and it drops December 4 through Dine Alone.

A press release explains that the EP features six old Alexisonfire tunes reworked by guitarists Wade MacNeil and Dallas Green at Hamilton, ON's Jukasa Studios. While sound samples for retooled versions of "Born and Raised" and "Burial" have yet to be delivered, the press sheet says the set contains both "acoustic and noise-rock interpretations."

The record is reasonably well-timed with the tour, which begins December 2 in the UK, though it will hit home turf by mid-December. You can check those dates down below.

Green's City and Colour also has a quickie EP coming our way December 4, which he's called Covers Pt. 2. As fans may guess, it's a follow-up to his previous tribute offering, and this one contains a cover of Swedish unit Fireside's "How Come Your Arms Are Not Around Me" and the Constantines' "Soon Enough." The record will also be available through Dine Alone.

The label noted that Green was recently in the studio recording his follow-up to Little Hell, and the as-yet-untitled LP is due sometime next year.
