Alexandra Stewart

"Lullabye" (video)

Canadian-born/Brooklyn-based songwriter Alexandra Stewart will be returning to her home country next month for a couple of shows with San Fermin, and in the meantime, fans can check out her video for "Lullabye."

This track from her 2013 debut, WÀBÀ, is an ornately mellow, quirkily woodwind-accented jazz-pop tune. The accompanying clip uses vintage-style film to create a dreamy document of a trip to the seaside.

Director Kristina Carucci said in a statement, "I envisioned a large and powerful landscape. The setting of the cliffs along the ocean was the perfect harmony of power and femininity that comes across in Alexandra's voice. I chose to shoot on 16mm film in order to create a dreamy and soft image that would also allow for clarity in the shadows."
