A late start forced the first MC of the night to cut his set extremely short. However, Alex Dimez, host for CHRY radio show The Sound Junction, opened the show properly with only one song, rocking a hard, banging beat with an assist on the hook from an excellent guest vocalist (whose name I didn't catch). His DJ also got a few laughs from the crowd by sampling in Dimez's radio I.D. I would have liked to hear more from Dimez; still, his short but sweet set set the stage for the superb night to follow.
