Cuban-Canadian jazz musician Alex Cuba returned with his latest LP Healer earlier this year, and now Exclaim! is giving you the first look at his new video for "No Esperes Más."
The track is a collaboration between Cuba and Anya Marina, while the video is an artsy animated visual interpretation of the music. Intricately designed images of an underwater scene float across the screen, moving in time with the rhythms of the song. Two lovers meet and swirl about on the seafloor, as Cuba and Marina wax soulful and romantic in Spanish and English, respectively.
It was created using green screen technology and food colouring, brought to life by artist Facundo Gastiazoro and producer Taylor Fox. Dreamy and fluid, the video makes the perfect pairing for the smooth groove of the song.
