Albert Hammond Jr.

"Carnal Cruise" (video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 1, 2013

Beautiful plumes be damned, the new video for Strokes six-stringer Albert Hammond Jr.'s "Carnal Cruise" shows off the mind-bending dangers of excessive smoke inhalation.

The track, off the artist's AHJ EP, plays to his natural inclination towards spindly post-punk melodies. As for the video, it has Hammond Jr. stumbling around a forest scene just covered with smoke bomb mist. While at first we see him surrounded by clouds of orange, blue and pink, all that smoke eventually contributes to a hallucinatory scene mixing branches and body parts. You'll see the results down below.

Albert Hammond Jr. is just about to set out on tour in support of AHJ, with Canadian dates set up in Toronto and Vancouver. You'll find the dates down below as well.
