As previously reported, ambitious psych rockers Akron/Family will be returning with a new album on Dead Oceans early next year. The album's full title is S/T II: The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT, and that alone suggests it will be their freakiest effort to date.
S/T II will be released on February 8, and we've now learned that it will be followed by a massive North American tour that will take the band from Brooklyn to Oakland in the span of nearly two months. Along the way, they will make three Canadian stops: Montreal on February 19, Toronto on February 20 and Vancouver on March 25.
