Air's JB Dunckel Scores Film About Magic Deodorant

JB Dunckel, one half of the French electronic dream pop duo Air, has been commissioned to write and record the score for an upcoming French film, Cyprien. So, can we expect something artsy and sublime, like Virgin Suicides? Well, not really. The film is a comedy about a 35-year-old virgin who discovers a magic deoderant that makes him irresistible to the ladies.

In a post on his MySpace page, Dunckel lovingly discussed the project, stating, "I finished the recording of a music for a French film called Cyprien. It's a funny movie that is taking place in Paris. In the center of the movie we find pure love, social humiliation, fashion, world habits..." At least he's into it.

Dunckel also hinted at a new Air album, saying, "Beside that, I am recording like crazy in our studio almost every day. Our next project is very fresh. Because we feel like that inside us."
