The Airplanes / Big Quiet

"All over Again" / "Cutting Corners" (split EP stream)

Along with the seemingly endless pile of records coming out on Kingfisher Bluez proper, the label is also currently in the middle of its Buddy System singles club, which allows other imprints to curate records for the label. Up next is the Slumberland Records choice — a split between Arkansas band the Airplanes and Brooklyn's Big Quiet.

The Airplanes' "All over Again" offers plenty of jangly guitars and harmonic vocals, though they're more than mere aesthetic as the song proves this band know their way around composition. Big Quiet are a perfect foil, with more timeless melodies, charming guitar leads and addictive harmonies.

It's a solid split that'll appeal equally to fans of Kingfisher Bluez and Slumberland. Give it a stream in full below.
