Age of Electric's reunion show in Calgary last year apparently went quite well, as the '90s-era Canadian alt-rock outfit have announced that they'll be undertaking a proper reunion tour this year. While a full show schedule is still pending, they've confirmed that a hometown show takes place in Vancouver this spring.

The original lineup of Age of Electric will play Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on April 30. The details on the full tour have yet to arrive, but a press release notes that the quartet will be playing "a string of Western Canadian dates in April."

Last August, guitarist Ryan Dahle, drummer Kurt Dahle, vocalist/guitarist Todd Kerns and bassist John Kerns reunited to play Calgary's Marquee Beer Market & Stage. It was their first show in 17 years.

Formed in 1989, Age of Electric would first garner acclaim over the title track to their Ugly EP from 1993. The band issued a self-titled LP in 1995 and would sign to Mercury Records for 1997's Make a Pest a Pet. That album included the hit track "Remote Control."
