Against Me! Pull Out of North American Tour with Bad Religion

Long-running punkers Bad Religion kick off their North American tour behind their recent True North LP this week, but unfortunately previously announced openers Against Me! have dropped off the bill. An announcement from the Florida act explains that some lineup strife caused the cancellation, which affects Canadian shows in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Against Me! announced the news via Facebook, explaining that the current lineup is lacking a full-time drummer, leaving the rest of the group iffy about taking their show on the road. Instead of potentially undergoing some subpar performances, they'll be focusing on prepping some new material.

"Canceling a tour is definitely not a decision we would make lightly," they said in the statement. "At this moment, due to our current uncertainty over who is going to be playing drums with us, we feel like we are lacking the ability to put on the show our fans deserve and we think that the best thing for us to do right now is take some time to regroup and finish a record."

The act apologized to planned tourmates Bad Religion and Polar Bear Club, as well as promoters and fans, suggesting to followers that they'll do their best to offer up some freebie guest list spots the next time they're out on tour.
