These are times of plenty for Aphex Twin fans. Following last year's Syro and this year's Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments Pt. 2 — not to mention that digital dump on SoundCloud — followers have been treated a lot of new material from the electronic legend. Now, he's shared a new track under his AFX moniker.

The freshly unveiled "oberheim blacet1b" comes from the forthcoming Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006-2008) album. It's a frantic electronic track made up of rapid-fire beats accompanied by lots of squishy, squelchy synth madness. Some of the textures are lovely, but this is nevertheless more about restless energy than beauty.

Mary Hobbs premiered "oberheim blacet1b" on BBC Radio 6 Music. Skip ahead to the 02:39:03 mark to hear it.

Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006-2008) is due out on August 21 through Warp Records.
