Published Sep 17, 2012Adele is the biggest-selling artist in years, so it's no surprise that the lovesick British belter has been chosen to sing the theme song of the new James Bond film.
Reports have circulated in recent weeks that Adele would be singing the title tune for Skyfall, which comes to North American cinemas on November 9. Showbiz411 has apparently confirmed the news, noting that the song will most likely also be called "Skyfall."
The song, which was reportedly recorded at Abbey Road studios, is bound to receive a lot of attention. After all, Adele's 2011 album 21 is the best-selling record since 2004, and the singer has made recent headlines with her live album, pregnancy, throat surgery, and supposed sex tape.
The previous Bond theme was sung by Jack White and Alicia Keys, who duetted on "Another Way to Die" for 2008's Quantum of Solace.
