The Toronto Blue Jays thumped the Texas Rangers by a score of 10-1 in the first game of their MLB American League Division Series last night (October 6), and since the city of Toronto has shown there's plenty of room on the post-season bandwagon these past few years, Adele has decided to get in on the action.
During her performance last night at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, the vocalist sported a customized Jays jersey with her name and the number 16 on the back, treating the crowd to a run- through of her mega hit "Rolling in the Deep."
More often than not, celebrities looking to show Toronto sports love pick a Maple Leafs jersey. But since they were embarrassed by the Montreal Canadiens 6-1 last night, it's safe to say Adele made the right call in checking the box scores.
The Jays, and third basemen Josh Donaldson, took notice on Twitter, sending their thanks alongside a handful of fans.

Yeah yeah. Adele wore a Blue Jays shirt last night at her concert. That is so derivative. Robert Smith pandered to Toronto sports fans first pic.twitter.com/gNtA7XOVsc
