Adam Ant fans have been eagerly anticipating the new waver's "Kings of the Wild Frontier Tour," but the jaunt has been marred by tragedy just two shows in. Guitarist and musical director Tom Edwards died suddenly yesterday (January 25).

Results of an autopsy have yet to be revealed, but he reportedly died from suspected heart failure after being found unresponsive and rushed to Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ. He was just 41.

In addition to his work with Ant, Edwards also played with Edwyn Collins, Roddy Frame and Fields of the Nephilim.

A statement from Ant's official Facebook page reads: "On behalf of Adam and his band, we thank all of you for your best wishes and support during this most difficult time, Tom shared his musical gifts with the world and his spirit will live on forever."

To pay respects to the late Edwards, Ant and the rest of his band have postponed upcoming shows in Philadelphia and New York. The "Kings of the Wild Frontier Tour" is slated to resume in Toronto on January 29.
