Ottawa, ON-based alt-folksters the Acorn recently released their album, No Ghost, the official follow-up to 2007's much-loved Glory Hope Mountain. Now, the band are getting set to remix No Ghost on a new album, Make the Least of the Day, due out September 14.

According to a press release, "The band have called on friends and heroes to annihilate and reinvent their music. The remixes range from glitch-pop experiments to subtle reinventions and sweet club jams."

Among the high-profile groups who have created remixes are Four Tet, Chad VanGaalen, Born Ruffians and Diamond Rings. To check out an MP3 from the release, head to My Old Kentucky Blog for Megafun's remix of "Kindling to Cremation." The remix album's tracklist features all 11 songs from No Ghost, although they appear in a different order here. Hard copies of the album will be available at shows, while digital copies will go on sale over at Paper Bag Digital.

As previously reported, the Acorn will be heading out on the road this fall for a tour that includes a number of Canadian dates.
