The Acorn Sign to Bella Union in the UK, Do Canadian Festivals

Following the success of Glory Hope Mountain, Ottawa’s experimental folk collective the Acorn have scored a UK deal. Across the pond, the Polaris Prize nominees and former Exclaim! cover stars will now be represented by indie Bella Union, the London-based label run by Simon Raymonde (of Cocteau Twins fame).

Surrounded by new label-mates such as Beach House, Fleet Foxes, the Dears and Explosions in the Sky, the Acorn will mark their first Bella Union release with Glory Hope Mountain, which hit Canada last year and will now get a UK digital release on August 11 and a physical one October 20.

In conjunction with the album’s new release dates, the band will also be heading to the UK for a short fall tour, but not until after playing several Canadian dates. Here are all the Acorn’s upcoming tour stops:
