Acid House Kings Team Up with Television Personalities' Dan Treacy on New Single

Acid House Kings and Dan Treacy are a match made in musical heaven. The former have been making celebrated indie pop for 20 years, while the latter has been putting out influential post-punk with Television Personalities for even longer. Now, Treacy has leant his voice to a new Acid House Kings single, "Heaven Knows I Miss Him Now," due out in digital and seven-inch formats on October 18 via Labrador.

Treacy has taken lead vocal duties on this version of the song, while Television Personalities' Texas Bob Juarez also supplied some guitar work. According to a press release, "The track couldn't possibly sound anymore sincere, honest and heartfelt than it does right here."

The original version of "Heaven Knows I Miss Him Now" appeared on Acid House Kings' 2011 effort Music Sounds Better with You.

Acid House Kings member Johan Angergård explained. "I've loved Television Personalities for over 20 years now and it's still one of my favorite bands throughout all times. I guess the fact that my other band Club 8 has stolen two album titles from them gives a hint of my admiration.

"Television Personalities continue to be as interesting today as they were in the beginning of their career. And that is something I dearly wish I could say about more of my old heroes. Depeche Mode, the Cure... hell, even Morrissey is starting to bore me! Dan Treacy is the only one left."

High praise indeed.
