Rumours previously suggested that AC/DC might be calling it quits due to guitarist Malcolm Young's illness, but the group dispelled these reports, and now they're apparently gearing up for a tour.

This news comes from frontman Brian Johnson's car racing website [via Rolling Stone]. In a message to fans, he thanked everyone for supporting his TV series Cars That Rock, adding, "We hope to bring you more shows in the near future but, of course, there is the slight distraction of my day job with AC/DC."

He continued that "it looks very likely that we will be on the road again before the end of the year," telling fans to "stand by for more music."

Reports have suggested that the band would be heading into the studio this spring. There's no word as to whether the sessions were successful or if the band have any new material on the way.
